CERTIFICATIONS
The patent obtained at the end of the trimix course enables diving within 70 m, with use of ternary mixtures oxygen-nitrogen-helium, with oxygen not less than 16% and helium not exceeding 55%.
REQUIREMENTS FOR ACCESS TO THE TRIMIX COURSE
- Minimum 18 years old
- Deep certification (40 m)
- Rescue certifications plus Oxygen First Aid
- Advanced Nitrox
- Specialized medical certificate for scuba diving
MINIMUM NUMBER OF LESSONS
- 10 hours of theory lessons
- 6 dives, including 3 with Air and 3 with Trimix
- In case of enrollment of students in possession of the Deep Air certification (50-60 m), the course duration will be reduced in 5 hours theory lessons and 4 dives (including 1 with Air and 3 with Trimix).
EQUIPMENT REQUIREMENTS
- Suitable thermal protection, if possible formed by dry suit (patent required). It ‘not recommended the use of wetsuit or semi-dry;
- Primary cylinders: twin cylinders with a minimum capacity 10 + 10 liters with suitable fixing system to jacket;
- Cylinder minimum 7 liters for 50% oxygen, with suitable fixing system to jacket, fitted with a regulator and pressure gauge with short hose, with clear marking of maximum operative depth (21 m);
- Cylinder minimum 5 liters for pure oxygen, with a suitable fixing system to jacket, with unequivocal marking of the maximum operative depth (6 m);
- Main regulator with DIN;
- Secondary regulator with DIN, whit hose not less than 2 m long;
- Jacket of adequate strength, having a capacity not less than 20 liters, equipped with a sturdy D-rings, possibly with stainless steel backrest;
- Pressure gauge with hose leading to the first stage;
- Spool with line at least 25 m – Reel with line at least 80 m;
- Dive marker (red color) having capacity exceeding 20 kg;
- Dive marker yellow color (recommended);
- Light source, consisting of: torch, suggested power of at least 20 watts; small security torch;
- Compass – Underwater slate with the current time (RUN TIME) – Jonline;
- Backup mask – cutting tool (knife or shears);
- Double control instrumentation time-depth; computer set to bottom timer mode;
- Slate or booklet for notes (wetnotes) and contingency tables.
