Rules against Covid diving

Our diving center respects measures to avoid the diffusion of the Covid-19.

For this reason we invite you to…

• • Book in advance your dives, diving courses, any equipment rental and your excursions, by e-mail (info@megalehellas.net) or via Whatsapp (+39 329.4640045), sending a copy of your patent and your medical certificate.
  • Access the Diving Center premises wearing the mask. Access is allowed only to course and diving participants.
  • Use the hand sanitizing gel provided at the reception.
  • Allow measurement of your body temperature before you participate in dives or scuba lessons. Access will not be allowed, for the safety of all, in the event of temperature above 37.5° C.
  • Complete the self-certification, downloadable from our website www.megalehellas.net or available at reception, on the absence of symptoms from Covid-19, as well as the declaration of not having been in close contact with subjects in a known contagion situation.
  • Always respect the interpersonal safety distance of at least 1 m and, when this is not possible, always wear suitable PPE (mask and gloves).
  • Take advantage of the Diving environments respecting the distance between the baskets for the storage of personal/rental equipment. The dedicated spaces are well indicated by the horizontal signs in the corridor and vertical signs in the washhouse.
  • Ask for our support for the sanitization of your personal equipment, especially the reserve regulator and the mask.
  • Bring anti-fog mask spray.
  • Bring a personal bag for the storage of your clothes and belongings.
  • Avoid gatherings during the pre-dive equipment preparation phase, respecting the distance of at least 1 m between the participants.
  • Always wear the mask and use the hand sanitizing gel both when traveling with our minibuses and on the rubber boat, respecting the seats assigned on board.
• Do not disperse in the environment gloves, masks and any disposable casing for the protection of the equipment. Respect for the environment is fundamental for us!

FOR YOUR SAFETY, WE COMMIT US TO…

• Inform you about the new procedures to be adopted in the pre-dive phase (Buddy check) and in case of need for gas sharing in emergency situations.
• Sanitize the rental equipment, the baskets and the taps of the cylinders at each use.
• Store the sanitized equipment in dedicated spaces, separate from the storage areas of the equipment to be sanitized, in order to avoid contamination.
• Ensure adequate outdoor spaces for washing the equipment in personal baskets with running water.
• Often sanitize the most commonly used surfaces and objects (reception, shelves, handles).

* These standards have been developed following the Protocol on Phase 2 of the resumption of diving activity drawn up on 12/05/2020 by SIMSI (Italian Society of Underwater and Hyperbaric Medicine, the only scientific Society of the underwater sector accredited by the Ministry of Health with DM 2 August 2017) in collaboration with AISI, Assosub, the Law & Diving Association and the CNR Personnel Presence and Protection Unit. They have also been integrated with the guidelines of the MIT (Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport) for nautical transport and bathing for Phase 2bis, published on the website www.mit.gov.it on 17/05/2020.
