Hoking e trekking in Calabria

In addition to the many activities related to the splendid sea of Calabria, the tourism and sport service company Megale Hellas also offers numerous “earthlings” activities, to discover an ancient and full of surprises land, characterized by majestic landscapes and by untouched and wild nature, to be discovered in the Aspromonte National Park.

In the extreme south of Italy, towards the Centre of the Mediterranean Sea, Calabria is in fact a region rich in natural beauty, with its 780 km of coastline and 450,000 hectares of woods and forests, with an landscapes extraordinary variety that makes it unique among all the regions of Italy.
On the extreme tip of the region, in the heart of the province of Reggio Calabria, there’s the Aspromonte National Park, from whose summit, Montalto (1.955 m), long mountain ridges branch off towards the coast, interspersed with deep river valleys and characterized by the presence of high waterfalls.

For these and others possible activities, let’s choose to be accompanied by a Park Official Guide, who will make you appreciate the natural, historical and anthropological aspects of a majestic and unspoiled scenery.
The meeting point for the excursions is at Megale Hellas base in Marina di Gioiosa Ionica, from where we’ll travel with our minibus, but on request we can arrange transfers from other locations in the Reggio Calabria province. The meal will be arranged with lunch bag or at local restaurants with typical calabrian food.
